 new guy
Hi - my name's Karl. I'm here looking for people who are more individualist and less fear-driven than the rest of TC scene. A bare-bones introduction: I'm ascetic; I'll take bad news as long as it's honest; I won't tell you what to do (If you can't figure that out on your own, then I don't want the job); I cannot be tamed (it's been tried and abandoned); and I have many other boring qualities that you won't be any more interested to hear about. I used to work as a lab-tech, and later as a nonprofit organizer. For now I'm just avoiding drama, studying on my own time, reading, and trying to get back into pencil-sketching in between the other stuff. I used to race bikes, and most of my hide is still attached to me. I love freezing my butt off in the cold. (Wanna join me?) I'm staying in SW Mpls. temporarily after moving back from WA by way of a beautifully-frigid winter stay in Duluth. I've stopped by GZ and Chamber, but not HM yet. I'm always up for meeting people, and I sometimes even like them How about you guys?

Welcome, Karl! There's a thriving community here, but it can be hard to locate in the winter!

 Re: new guy
Individualist and non-fear driven? Hmmm... I've always been under the impression that scenes serve the function of fitting in and not worrying about individualism. I prefer wearing a uniform, and fear of small talk often times keeps me from going out.
Good luck with the city, it's not the friendliest place.

 Re: new guy
I just moved out.
The "scene" as such, is pretty insular. Good luck with that. There are some very nice people, but they are mostly from out of town.
